Two top Indian Chefs from The Residency Group of Hotels, Chennai arrived in Maldives today to conduct “Kitchen Khliadi” Cooking workshops at the India-Maldives Friendship Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies (IMFFHTS). The workshops would be held on August 21 from 1930hrs at IMFFHTS campus in Falhumathee Magu and are open for the public. High Commission of India in Male is organising the workshops with the support of Faculty of Hospitality and Tourism Studies, Maldivian Airlines and the Residency Group of Hotels, who are also currently constructing a resort in the Maldives.
The workshops are a part of the “Taste of India Festival” organised by the High Commission, in partnership with Maldives National University and Hotel Jen. Other events in the festival are a master-chef style cooking competition and an Indian Food Festival at Hotel Jen. More details of the festival are available at www.hci.gov.in/male.
The Culinary festival is the fourth event of the India-Maldives Golden Jubilee Celebrations organised by the High Commission. Earlier this year, High Commission had organised a Bollywood festival (January 2015), Health Awareness programs (February 2015) and a Yoga festival (June 2015) as part of the Golden Jubilee Celebrations.
