STO head of human resources, Fathimath Aashaan has said that all interested can join the Pharmacy course.
Speaking to Miadhu Daily, Ashaan said that the tuition of the course is given online.
“All material are not available online. Therefore the students must be very aware. So if you have any doubtful matters you can ask online. Tutors will communicate online.
She said that the participants of the course should be self motivated and have a passion to learn.
“It should not be a course done just for the sake of someone or because of mom or dad or teachers,” she said.
Ashaan said that the participants should do work experience with a certified pharmacist for 500 hours.
STO Managing Director Ahmed Azim said that within the end of this month, STO pharmacies will be opened in all bigger islands where the regional hospitals are located. He said that all of those pharmacies will provide Aasandha services.
Adam Azim said that Maldivians getting the opportunity to work in pharmacies is a development achieved by the Maldivian nation.
