President Abdullah Yameen Abdul Qayyoom has launched MNDF’s Haadharu, a movie based on the events of the biggest terror attack on the Maldives.
The MNDF drama, produced with the assistance of SIFCO is based on the story of popular writer Binmaa Ibrahim Waheed. Ash’har Waheed, who had previously directed MNDF dramas, directed the movie.
Speaking in the launching ceremony, Defense Minister Adam Shareef Umar said he hoped that this movie will shed some light to the events of the day and will impart various lessons on the public. He added that the armed forced will always remain in national service and that they will not allow any action that would jeopardize the peace and stability of the nation.
