Rules regarding payment of Zakaath to be Gazetted soon.





Comissioner General of Taxation mr.Yazeed Mohamed told last night that MIRA is discussing the matter with Islamic Ministry and also researching the matter from other Islamic Ministries.





Recently Islamic Minister Dr.Ahmed Ziyad has told media that since Collection of Zakaath is Compulsory to the Government through Islam, Government will not leave the matter for people’s choice but will Collect it from those who have to pay Zakaath.





Payment of Zakaath is one of the 5 Pillars of Islam. In some Muslim Countries Zakaath is collected as a Compulsory payment.





Zakaath benefits poor to fulfill their needs.
