Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have stated that he is not aware that he is being charged with influencing a state official.
When Miadhu News inquired about the news article written on Sun.mv saying that Riyaz is being charged for influencing a state official, Riyaz said that he did not get any information about this case through any official channels. He said that he also heard about it on the media.
According to Sun.mv, the case has been sent to the Criminal Court on last Thursday but did not reveal any further details. In addition it says that Riyaz is being charged after police found chatlogs of him with a state official on his phone after police confiscated his phone earlier this year.
