Minister of Legal Affairs at the President’s Office Azima Shukoor’s family have stated that Azima and her family has been receiving threats from various people.
Azima was criticized by many for her views on the implementation of the Supreme Court order of 1st February. Her legal opinion was that it should not be implemented. The family said that in addition to Azima her daughter has been threatened too.
Azima’s brother Athif Shukoor who was the head of the financial intelligence department of MMA wrote on Facebook that many are threatening Azima and her daughter. He said that the family will face it bravely.
Azima Shukoor also posted on Facebook saying that she has been death threats as well.
