MP Ameeth have said that the former president of the Elections Commission will be taken to court even if he is made the president of Maldives.
Ameeth said that Sulaiman conducted unlawful activities while he was the President of EC and the biggest crime was unseating 12 MPs of the parliament. He said that, appointing such a person as the head of National Integrity Commission will endanger the integrity of the whole nation.
The president sent Sulaiman’s name to be appointed as the president of NIC and the parliament approved it today and sent it to the committee for approval.
Even if Sulaiman is the president we will take him to court : Ameeth
