STO has inaugurated the construction work of the residential tower built by STO under the Hiya Project of the government. STO is developing two towers of 15 story. The project was contracted to a Chinese company.
The MD of STO Ahmed Shaheer said that there will be 350 apartments in these two towers. Speaking at the ceremony the chief guest of the ceremony Economic Minister Saeed said that STO plays an important role in the economic development of Maldives.
“The 2nd phase of Hulhumale’ development project is going really fast and the road development projects should be noted. Never have we seen the development pace of this speed in Maldives. Government has a huge share in STO” said Saeed.
STO residential tower will have one room apartments, two room apartments and two plus one apartments. STO is spending 27 million dollars for the project and it is being conducted by MCG Group of China.
