Opposition parties have called the government to reveal the truth about Xin Yuan 18 a tanker with a Maldivian flag which was found transferring goods to a North Korean ship in international waters.
In a press conference held by the opposition at Kunooz yesterday, MP Saud said that if that boat was not registered in the Maldives it’s MSI number would not be a Maldivian number. He said that hence it is certain that it was registered in the Maldives.
Saud said that it is not enough to deny that the boat was registered in the Maldives, since that Maldives might face dire consequences because of this incident. He said that the authorities must reveal the truth about the boat.
Furthermore Saud said that the world will not just watch when something like this happens and will try to find the truth. He said that hence the opposition will try to find the truth. Meanwhile, in a press conference held by PPM, they tried to convince that the news about a Maldivian flag on the boat was a fabrication.
It is unlikely that Japan a country with advanced technologies will share pictures of a boat like that without investigating it properly.
