President Yameen has submitted Ahmed Shareef’s name to the parliament as a member of Elections Commission.
According to courses, in tomorrow’s parliament session the issue will be presented to the floor. Ahmed Shareef worked as a member of EC even before.
Ahmed Shareef’s name was sent to the parliament after the President of EC Ahmed Sulaiman resigned from EC. Sulaiman has now been appointed as the president of National Integrity Commission. In addition the General Secretory of EC Ahmed Ali also resigned recently.
