Bisham advices police to heed lessons from the past and to work for a better future
Prosecutor General Aishath Bisham has advised the police to heed lessons from the past and to work for a better future. She made this statement while speaking to the police officers who completed the 29th police recruitment training held at Dh.Vaanee.

Bisham said that the work of a police officer is an honorable work and requested family members of police officers to support them in their work.

Furthermore, she requested the newly recruited police officers to serve the nation in accordance with the constitution, laws and their oath. She said that the role of police is very important for sustainable development and said that a safe society is extremely important for development.

In addition, Bisham said that even women can be police officers and noted that even now there are many women in Maldivian Police Service. She stressed on the importance of finding solutions to the difficulties faced by women in the work environment.

Senior police officers, members of the police executive board, and families of the newly recruited officers took part in the ceremony.
