Former MD of STO Adam Azim have said that now law asks to give false testimony and fake evidence to frame anyone, but it has been revealed that this happens within Maldives Police Service.
Azim said that these issues cannot be solved by “Good morning tweets” of Maldives Police and that if Police wants to earn the trust of the people they need to change their ways.
Azim said that the biggest problem in Maldives right now is that the laws are not being followed and if everyone follows the laws then things will be better. “The laws clearly state how everyone should act. Nothing can be solved if it is not followed. If it is not followed the situation of the country will get worse” said Azim.
Azim said that Police is the most important institution for the people and also the institution people for protection. He said that if the people are getting oppressed by police, then the people will have no where to go for protections.
