Sewage system development project in Nolhivaranfaru has begun. The project was officially inaugurated by Environment Minister Thoriq Ibrahim.
The project is being conducted by Sierra Construction Private Limited and the project was signed in Jul7 2017. The project is financed through the state fund and through a loan from Islamic Development Bank. According to Environment Ministry the project will cost 44 million Rufiyaa.
Under this project, a sewage network and a sewage treatment plant will be developed in the island. In addition an administrative building will also be developed. Environment Minister Thoriq also inaugurated water system development project of Hd.Hanimaadhoo and Ha.Hoarafushi during last week.
