Government says that they will not hold all party talks after freeing any criminal
Fisheries Minister Dr.Shainee have said the government will not hold talks with opposition parties after freeing any criminals. He said that, the government cannot move forward with the talks because the pre-conditions set by the opposition is unlawful.

He said that the government will not hold talks after releasing the political prisoners and said that it is also because that it has been proved that some of the tried to topple the government. Speaking to the press at the president’s office this morning, he said that since the Supreme Court annulled the verdict of 1st February, the conditions set by the opposition is unlawful.

In addition, Dr.Shainee said that the government never disagreed UN to take a mediatory role in the talks and that no state institution ever issued statement saying that. However previously, in a press conference by PPM the Deputy Leader of PPM Abdullah Abduh Raheem said that PPM will not take part in any talks which involves a foreign entity.

Dr.Shainee also said that the government held discussions with former President Nasheed.
