Four young Maldivian footballers to attend Barcelona Football Academy under Milo Road to Barcelona Campaign

Milo launched their Road to Barcelona campaign in the Maldives yesterday. The campaign is conducted in association with Barcelona football club. Under this campaign four young Maldivian footballers will get the chance to attend Barcelona Football Academy.

A special event was held yesterday to launch the program in Maldives. In the event Football Association of Maldives and Milo signed various agreements. Under the campaign 4 young footballers and two officials from Maldives will get the opportunity to train at Barcelona Academy. FAM said that they will make the selection after a through process and that they will select the 4 not only from Male’ but from all over the Maldives.

Children aged 7-10 will be eligible to take part in the campaign. Those who like to participate in the campaign should buy milo products to receive a coupon and the coupon token should be texted to 4411.

Barcelona Football Club and Nestle signed an agreement in last December planning to conduct a massive training program targeting 22.5 million children. The program is now being conducted all over the world. Barcelona academy has produced various top players of the world including Carlos Puyol, Gerad Pique, Andre Iniesta, Xavi Hernendez and Lionnel Messi.
