The UN delegation that recently visited Maldives has left the country and stated that the engagements with stakeholders was productive.
The UN mission in Maldives stated that the delegation left yesterday afternoon and said that the talks were productive. The UN delegation met with the government and the opposition as well. In addition they met with the Indian ambassador to Maldives too. However they have not revealed any details of the meetings so far.
Opposition have stated that they will talk with the government when the government implements the Supreme Court verdict of 1st February. However the government says that, that verdict has been revoked and hence should not be revoked.
