PG leader of MDP, Ibrahim Mohammed Solih (Ibu) have said that corruption and theft cannot be eradicated from the country as long as President Yameen is governing the nation.
Speaking at an opposition rally held tonight, after 12 days in detention, Ibu said that no matter how much President Yameen asks not to talk about corruption and theft, it cannot be stopped, and the people will talk about it. He said that the people will talk about it when the government gives sovereign guarantee to individuals.
He said that he was arrested and detained saying that he was a danger to the society. He said that once he was detained he realized that the work for reform should be increased.
Ibu said that 99% of the police officers he met at Dhoonidhoo wants a regime change and that he is sure that change can be brought.
