Ahmed Adeeb who is in jail has been allowed to meet with his family after 2 months.
Meanwhile his family has filed complains to Correctional Service and Human Rights Commission of the Maldives stating that Adeeb is not given proper healthcare.
According to the family, Adeeb is still not given proper healthcare even though he has been allowed to meet with his family.
According to doctors Adeeb has contacted glaucoma and cataract. In addition doctors say that there are cysts inside his body and also he has developed stones in kidney. However government has refused to send Adeeb abroad for treatment. Government says that Adeeb will be sent only after he returns the money he stole in the MMPRC embezzlement.
