Education Minister Dr.Aishath Shiham has met with the participants of Georgetown Heritage City Girl Guide International Camp. The camp is organized by the Girl Guide Association of Malaysia.
The purpose of the camp is to familiarize the participants with the cultures and environment of various countries. Several activities will be held to achieve this goal. The camp will be held at the municipal park of Penang, Malaysia. It will be held from 3rd April to 8th April. Participants of the camp will be aged between 13 to 18.
In addition to Maldives, girl guides from Cambodia, Philippines, Bangladesh, Singapore, Brunei, Malaysia and Hong Kong will take part in the camp. Seventeen girl guides and three leaders from 4 Maldivian schools will take part in the camp. The participants will leave for Malaysia today.
