Islamic University of Maldives has published two books written by Dr.Ibrahim Zakariyya the dean for center for post graduates of IUM. He wrote a book about the Holy Quran and a book about Islamic Finance.
The book about Quran is written in Dhivehi after conducting extensive research. The book about Islamic Finance was translated by Dr.Zakariyya to Dhivehi. The two books were officially inaugurated by the Chancellor of IUM Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed.
Speaking at the ceremony Dr.Zakariyya said that the book about Quran is nothing compared to other academic work done by scholars about this topic. He said that this was a vast topic and many other scholars have written about it.
He said that these two books will be very useful for students and that he also learned a lot while writing them.
