Former MP Abdullah Abduh Raheem have said that investigating those who are suspected of buying flats from illicit money is better than arresting Siyad for trying to purchase a flat. Abduh Raheem said that Siyad Qasim the MD of Villa Group does not have to pay bribes to anyone to purchase a flat and real estate companies will happily provide apartments to him.
Speaking about the bribery charges against Siyad, Abduh Raheem said that some people openly said that they will get the majority of the parliament by bribing the parliament members and that has already happened and noted that so far these cases have not been investigated.
Abduh Raheem said that Siyad does not have the quality of “youths” favored by this government. He said that Siyad is well disciplined and have always worked hard for a better future. He said that Siyad is jailed to intimidate Villa Group of Companies no matter what.
He said that Siyad was arrested in a case created by the government and the purpose is to achieve things the government desires. “Siyad always tells the truth. So they cannot frame someone like him” said Abduh Raheem.
Abdullah Abuh Raheem said that the government wants to hurt Qasim Ibrahim. “Even at podiums they get so personal. They talk about events of 1984. They do not talk about the Qasim Ibrahim who helped President Yameen win the election” said Abduh Raheem.
