President Maumoon and the two justices of the Supreme Court given 10 days to appoint a lawyer
Criminal Court has given 10 days to former President Maumoon and the two justices of the Supreme Court to appoint a lawyer.

In a court hearing held today regarding the obstruction of justice case, the judge gave 10 days to President Maumoon, Chief Justice Abdullah Saeed and Justice Ali Hameed when they stated that they wanted to proceed with lawyers.

Today’s hearing was a preliminary hearing. The three of them are being charged with obstruction of justice because, they refused to handover their mobile phones or let the police know where it is after police came to know that their phones contain evidence regarding the investigations carried out against the justices.

In addition, they are also being charged with terrorism. However a hearing on that case has not been held yet.
