CMA’s Maldives Marketers Forum concluded successfully with more than 220 participants attending the event. MNU business School auditorium was a packed house and participants were taken on an amazing journey on different components of HR from recruitment to retention and development.
The event commenced with the speech of Corporate Maldives Academy (CMA) CEO IlyasHaneef who mentioned CMA would start their full-fledged operations of trainings, CMA Consultancy and Job.mv recruitment services from the beginning of the month of May. “CMA have signed a MoU with Maldives Association of Human Resource Professionals (MAHRP) due to similar interests and objectives. Also we are in discussion with SLIM Sri Lanka for potential partnership.” Ilyas stated further.
First session was from Mohamed Kaleem – Sonee Company. He stressed the importance of strong leadership in HR. MounirRamzy HR Director of Shangri La discussed the strategies and practices companies can use to recruit, retain and perform and shared his experience in Canada, Egypt and America. Neil Shorthouse from Shorthouse Hospitality Interntional explained the key aspects of recruiting the right talent and importance of getting it right the first time.
Hussain Afeef from LUX* Resorts and Hotels conducted an interactive and engaging session which encouraged the participants to raise their concerns and seek advice from the speakers, Vibhav Garg representing Accor Hotels, Maldives updated the audience with latest developments in the realm of HR. Explaining the importance of corporate wellness & how it leads to productivity, CEO of TFG Hussain Zinan encouraged the audience to give more priority for a balanced healthy life.
Mariyam Manal Shihab from Salih, Shihab& Co clarified the common issues faced by employers and employees while shedding light to some of the legal concerns. Ashfag Mohamed Thoufeeg representing Laniakea Tech explained the features of RAS HRMS software. Dr. Ali Najeeb from Villa College presented his research findings under the topic HRM roles and competencies in the Maldives.
Mohamed Roshan, from CMA, moderated Panel Discussion and panel included Ishana Waleed – Symphony Maldives, FaznaMansoor- Ooredoo Maldives, Ahmed Didi – Boldpoint and Ibrahim Latheef – MTCC.
