Rector of Medina University Khathim Hassan Al Marzooq have said that the fundamentals of Islam should be included in university education system and students should be taught how to act upon it.
Speaking at the ceremony held today to sign an agreement of cooperation with Medina University and IUM, he said that because of the situation of the world today, students should be taught the fundamentals of Islam in it’s true sense and also they should be taught how to act upon it.
In addition he said that the problems faced by the Islamic Ummah can only be solved when Muslims act upon the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
He said that under the agreement made today, relations between the two universities will be strengthened in scientific and educational areas. He noted that Saudi Arabia always act upon the Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH).
Speaking about Maldivians, he said that Maldivians always meet with a smile on their face and he notices it. He thanked the Islamic University of Maldives for the warm welcome given to him.
