Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu have said that all the beams on Male’ side of CMF has been connected via the concrete bridge deck. He tweeted saying that in addition to that, concrete work of 540 meters have also been completed now.
Previously the minister said that the work of the superstructure of the bridge will be completed by 9th July. He said that after that, the only remaining work will be fixing lights and tarmacking.
The government plans to open the bridge on 26th July. The bridge is being developed by CCCC of China and 126 million dollars out of the 210 million dollars of the cost of the bridge is covered by China.
The length of the bridge is 2 km and the width is 20.3 meters.
