Civil Court throws out the case filed by former VP Adeeb
Civil Court has decided that the case filed by former Vice President Adeeb against Maldives Corrections Service stating that they have neglected providing health care to Adeeb, does not have enough merit to take to the trial procedure.

The court stated that, since Corrections haven’t completed the procedures they need to complete, the Court does not have the jurisdiction over the case.

Adeeb’s family have been expressing concerns saying that Adeeb is suffering from glaucoma. Doctors have also recommended to take Adeeb abroad to conduct tests.

At the moment Adeeb is serving a 33 year prison sentence for plotting to assassinate the president, for possession of a pistol and for embezzling state funds.
