A branch of Bank of Ceylon is to be opened in Hulhumale’. An agreement has been signed between Bank of Ceylon and Housing Development Corporation to establish the bank in Hulhumale. Dr.Fathimath Shiunee the legal affairs director of HDC signed on behalf of the company while Manager of BOC in Maldives Badr Kalyanakfriya signed on behalf of BOC.
The Bank will be located at the commercial block of Ameen Avenue of Hulhumale. This will be the second branch of BOC in the Maldives.
At the moment, there is a branch of Bank of India, Bank of Maldives, Habeeb Bank and Commercial Bank in the Maldives.
A branch of BOC was first established in the Maldives in 1980 and many Maldivians a customers of the bank.
