A new road opens for public at Velana International Airport (VIA).
This new road south of present runway will connect transfers from East to West at VIA.
The 1200 meters of road is the permanent landside road of VIA for airport transfers. However, this road will also be used for public transport temporarily until the high way to Hulhumale via VIA is complete this year.
