Qasim Ibrahim have tweeted today saying that the court ordered the state authorities to allow him to go abroad to seek treatment and hence the police labelling him as a fugitive and summoning him to the police station will be considered as contempt of court.
Even thought the court ordered the state authorities to let Qasim leave for treatment, it took many days for the state to grant that authorization.
The government tried to bring back Qasim Ibrahim after he started treatment in Singapore even though he was undergoing treatment for a serious heart condition. The government refused to accept the medical advise given by doctors even.
Qasim’s lawyers said that the travel documents provided to Qasim expired in Singapore and then the government was planning to send police to bring back Qasim. However Qasim Ibrahim fled to Germany in an attempt to save his life and is taking treatment from Germany.
Qasim tweeted today after the police Tweeted saying that Qasim is a fugitive and for saying that they do not know where he is despite knowing his location.
