The Ambassador of India, H E Akhilesh Mishra met and interacted with a group ofa six Maldivian students in his office on 24th June who have been awarded scholarships by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations for pursuing higher education in India.
The Government of India offers through ICCR 39 fully funded scholarships annually to Maldivian students for pursuing undergraduate, post-graduate, M.Phil and PhD courses in reputed Indian universities. The current batch of students will be admitted in the Universityof Mysore and Rajasthan.
Ambassador of India, H.E. Akhilesh Mishra wished the Maldivian students great success in their higher education programmes in India and hoped that the skills acquired by them would enable them to contribute productively national development in Maldives.
