MDP congress has decided to give MDP ticket to Ibu in the upcoming presidential elections. Ibrahim Mohammed Solih Ibu is the PG leader of MDP.
Speaking at the congress, Ibu said that the presidential candidate of MDP is former President Nasheed but since the government did not allow Mohammed Nasheed to run he will work to serve the people as Mohammed Nasheed also requested.
Ibu said that a lot of work needs to be done to save Maldives from the current situation. He said that those who should make compromises should do it and that the opposition should work together.
He further said that MDP wants to change the current regime by doing whatever it takes.
