PRESIDENT DEPARTS ON OFFICIAL VISIT TO NORTH MILADHUMMADULU ATOLL

President Abdulla Yameen Abdul Gayoom has this morning departed on a two day visit to North Miladhummadulu Atoll islands of Bileffahi, Kan’ditheemu, Funadhoo and Milandhoo.

During his visit to North Miladhummadulu Atoll, the President will take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of beach protection project in Bileffahi Island, and inaugurate the harbour at Kan’ditheemu Island. He is also scheduled to take part in the ceremony to mark the completion of the airport land reclamation project and the commencement of the runway project in Funadhoo Island. As the last leg of his tour of North Miladhummadulu Atoll, President Yameen will visit Milandhoo Island, and inaugurate the island’s sewerage system.

The President will conclude his visit and arrive back in Malé on Tuesday.
