In addition he said that there are three fields in which they are looking for foreign patients and that is cardiology, neurology, orthopedics, and neurosurgery.
He said that the services available at ADK in these areas are world class and that people go abroad for treatment not due to lack of services.
According to MV Medicals there will be challenges in the beginning but there is hope for future. They said that Maldives is a very accessible location and that there is no reason that Maldives cannot be promoted as a medical tourism destination. They said that since it is very easy to get a visa to Maldives, it will be easy to promote Maldives as such a destination.
