Opposition candidate for the upcoming presidential elections, Ibrahim Mohammed Solih have said that they will start their campaign activities within this week.
Speaking at a press conference held at Adhalath Party’s offie last night, Ibu said that JP has been given the chance to nominate a running mate but JP should select a candidate who is acceptable to the other partners of the coalition.
Ibu said that a running mate will be selected on 10th of this month and that he does not believe that there is any internal conflict. “Even while selecting a presidential candidate many names were suggested, but once it was done everyone has accepted it” said Ibu.
Ibu said that the opposition’s manifesto will be formed with suggestions from all parties even though the main manifesto will be MDP’s manifesto. “JP leader submitted things he wanted and there are not many differences with ours and hence I do not think it will be a problem”
AP’s Vice President Ali Zahir said that they are researching MDP’s manifesto and they will submit amendments as well.
