In a press conference held at Dharubaaruge on Sunday, 11 religious scholars have expressed their support for Dr.Mohammed Shaheem Ali Saeed the running mate of President Yameen in the upcoming presidential elections.
Speaking at the press conference, Sheikh Mohammed Didi said that many other religious scholars are with Shaheem but since many are abroad for Umra and other personal reasons. He said that other scholars will also soon declare their support for Dr.Shaheem.
Sheikh Didi said that this was a good opportunity to uphold Islamic values in Maldives and he thanked all the scholars of Maldives for making use of this opportunity. He requested everyone to work hard to elect President Yameen.
Scholars who took part in the press conference includes, Shafeee, Zaheen, Qubad, Mohammed Nasheed Adam, Mohammed Latheef, Sheikh Izzudheen Adnaan and two others.
