JP has stated that they will select a running mate on 14th July.
Speaking at a press conference held today, the Deputy Leader of JP Dr.Hussein Rasheed said that they will open the window for those who are interested to contest for the position and on 14th of July, the council of JP will take a vote to chose the running mate. He said that he hopes that this will conclude the agreement between JP and other opposition parties.
Dr.Hussein said that, unlike previous agreements, this agreement is made in advance and that the opposition parties will work together in the next two elections as well.
Speaking at the press conference, the SG of JP, Sameer said that JP will make their decisions in a way which the Elections Commission cannot ask any questions. “There are people who will talk about different things regarding each election. Even JP can do it, but JP wont do it” said Sameer.
Dr.Hussein said that there will be some disputes within coalitions however, there are no disputes among the four leaders of the coalition and that they will win the election easily.
