Maldives Police Service has said that they are investigating the attempted attack on Ibrahim Mohammed Solih the opposition candidate in the upcoming presidential elections.
While Ibu Solih was canvassing in Hulhumale’ two individuals approached Ibu and tried to attack him. Maldives Police Service tweeted saying that they are investigating the matter.
MDP stated that they reported the matter to police and requested to investigate.
