The opposition coalition expresses concerns, after JSC decides to appoint 2 new judges to the High Court with just two months from the election

The opposition coalition has expressed concerns after the JSC has decided to appoint two new judges to the High Court with just two months from the election.

The coalition stated that one of their biggest concern is that one of the judge used to be a senior member of People’s Alliance a party headed by President Yameen. They further said that since they should submit complaints related to the elections to the court, it is very worrying that the government is changing the judges through the JSC.

Coalition also called the Judicial Service Commission to allow a free and fair election.
