Spokesperson of JP, Ali Solih said that even though President Yameen says that he will get 65% of the votes in the election, he will not even get 20 percent of the vote.
Ali Solih said that the civil servants and staffs of state owned companies do not support the president, and that they do not show their resentment due to fear of losing their jobs. “With the will of Allah, they will vote to get rid of Yameen” said Ali Solih.
In addition, he said that the coalition has problems in funding campaign activities, but since they spend Halaal money, Allah will accept it.
“Those who have even 50 laari, should also come out and campaign. Those who don’t have money should also campaign. With the will of Allah we will get more than 80 percent of the votes” said Ali Solih.
Ali Solih said that, even in the past JP has won in elections. “In 2013, President Nasheed won 47% of the votes and President Yameen got only 26%. People were wondering how President Yameen will win the election. He became the president due to the work done by JP. Instead of being thankful to that, he is acting like a monster” said Ali Solih.
In addition he said that even though former VP Adheeb told where 80 million dollars went, the independent institutions cannot investigate it. He said that all such institutions have been paralyzed and that MNDF also knows it. He said that MNDF should take the initiative to solve these problems.
