Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Ameen has urged the government not to create fear when the election is so near.
Abdullah Ameen said that no one should try to portray that there is a national security threat, in order to take advantage of it. Ameen said that the international community does not believe that the election will be free and fair this year and hence they are monitoring the situation closely.
He said that it is questionable as to why President Yameen haven’t submitted the form to Elections Commission to run as a candidate in the elections.
Many politicians are expressing concern saying that the election might be cancelled this year.
