Hearings regarding parliament seat of MP Saud and Waheed ends
Supreme Court hearings regarding the parliament seat of MP Saud and Waheed has ended. The court will issue a verdict in the next hearing.

The first hearing was regarding the decision made by the Elections Commission to disqualify Waheed. Waheed’s lawyer Riffath, the former solicitor general requested the judge to issue a fair verdict based on the issues raised in the previous hearings. The lawyer did not say anything else.

The lawyers of Attorney General and Elections Commission also requested to issue a fair verdict based on the previous hearings and they did not state anything else.

Hence the Chief Justice Dr.Ahmed Abdullah Didi announced that the hearings have ended and announced that a verdict will be issued in the next hearing.

In Saud’s hearing the lawyers of both the sides submitted their case to the bench. Saud’s lawyers stated that Saud was removed from the party on 13th April. The state did not object to that but said that they will only accept the letter which says that Saud was removed from PPM on 17th April. However he stated that he left the party on 13th April and there is no way that he joined the party again.

Even though the hearings ended today, the Chief Justice did not tell when the next nearing will be held.
