Ruling party PPM has called President-elect not to take oath of office before allegations regarding voter fraud is cleared.
In a press conference held today, Ahmed Siddeeq a deputy minister at Home Ministry said that since there are many allegations against the EC, the President-elect cannot take the oath of office because Hadhees shows that it will be a door that leads to hell.
MDP’s SG Anas Abdul Sattar said that this is a good opportunity to investigate cases based on audio and video recording. He said that this is a good opportunity to investigate various statements made by President Yameen.
However Siddeeq did not explain the religious ruling on supporting a ruler who confessed to accepting money from Haraam sources or about supporting a ruler who legalizes things which are forbidden in Islam.
