Elections Commission of the Maldives has decided to cancel the by-election which was planned previously in order to replace the disqualified 12 members of the parliament.
Speaking about the matter, MP for Maduvvari Mohamed Ameeth said that, now the 12 MPs can enter the parliament. Mohammed Waheed the MP for Thulusdhoo also said that now no one can say that the 12 MPs are not members of the parliament.
Waheed said that now it can be seen that the state institutions are finally able to perform their duties, without any influence.
