JP leader Qasim Ibrahim have said that the people of Maldives has decided and that it cannot be changed.
Speaking to the people gathered at M.Kunooz to welcome him after he arrived in the Maldives after almost a year, Qasim said that the people have decided and there is nothing that can be done to change it.
Qasim advised the people to be patient and said that if some people do something unlawful, responding it in a similar manner will be unlawful as well. He said that those who are working for reform, shouldn’t act that way and if that is done, then they are moving away from the right course.
Qasim said that it is wrong to criticize the decision made b the people and that the people made their decision based on what they believe is right and based on the services they received. “The people said no because things were not done right. Things were done in an oppressive manner. In an unjust manner. Lots of theft. Everything was done with corruption. All the projects were conducted at inflated costs” said Qasim.
Qasim said that even though the election was held after jailing opposition leaders, the coalition has won and they are free now.
