Chinese Ambassador to the Maldives, Zhang Lizhong have met with former President Maumoon.
President Maumoon tweeted saying that they discussed on strengthening relations between the two nations.
Chinese government assisted Maldives even during President Maumoon’s administration. They conducted projects like Male’ sewerage system, Sinamale’ flats and flats in Hulhumale’ Phase 1 among others.
In addition the agreement to develop the new foreign ministry building, the national museum and the national library were concluded during President Maumoon’s administration.
