The United States have issued a statement saying that they will take appropriate measures against anyone who undermines peaceful transfer of power in the Maldives.
The deputy spokesperson of US State Department, Robert Palladino stated that the US is concerned by troubling actions of President Yameen that threaten to undermine the will of the people and will consider taking appropriate measures.
He said that in addition to USA, the whole internationally community is closely monitoring the situation of Maldives.
