MP Saud Hussein have stated that since the president has lost the support of the people, the commander in chief might order anything and the security services must be careful.
Saud said that the protests held by PPM against the Elections Commission are against the state and the people of Maldives. He said that since the protests are led by the chief of defence force, this is a dangerous situation.
Saud said that President Yameen might flee anytime and the security services must be careful of this as well. In addition he said that President Yameen can only leave the country after he is held accountable to the millions lost in the 5 years and to the people who were killed during those 5 years.
Saud said that the case filed against President Yameen by MMA is an important case and the relevant parliamentary committees should also investigate it.
“He is trying to stay even just for one more day because there are various cases like this. He paralyzed the parliament because the parliament might investigate such cases” said Saud.
