MP Mariya Didi have said that the election is not just politics and that it is a right. She said that hence, defending the rights of the people and the country is defending the elections as well.
Mariya tweeted in this manner in response to a Facebook post made by Defense Minister Adam Shareef. He posted saying that the MNDF should not be politicized and that they will remain defending the people and the country.
The Defense Minister’s FB post came at a time while the whole country is waiting for a verdict in the case filed by President Yameen to nullify the elections.
