Speaker of the parliament, Abdullah Maseeh has decided to step down according to some sources.
This news came at a time, the opposition has collected 45 signatures to submit a censure motion against the speaker tomorrow.
A text message which was allegedly sent to the media by Maseeh says that since majority of the parliament members have decided that they lost confidence in him, he has decided to resign as stated under the article 82 of the constitution.
However, the Secretary General of the parliament have stated that the secretariat of the parliament has not been informed about this decision.
