Deputy leader of PPM Abdullah Abduh-Raheem (Adhurey) have said that he will contest to become the next speaker of the parliament if the censure motion against the current speaker Maseeh is passed.
A total of 51 parliament members including 15 members from the ruling coalition have signed a censure motion against Maseeh today.
Meanwhile, the opposition coalition has decided to elect Qasim Ibrahim as the speaker of the parliament.
Qasim was the speaker of the parliament which drafted the constitution of the Maldives.
Abduh Raheem to contest to become the next speaker of the parliament !
